I'm back! Sorry I have been a tad busy. But it has been a god busy. Tonight I have some really cool pictures to share with everyone. We had a busy, busy weekend this past weekend. Friday night we went to Tahoe for the night with a group called the 20-30's club. It is a social group that is for guys and girls who are in their 20's and 30's. Hence the creative name of the club.
It was a ton of fun. Saturday, Amanda and I woke up and went on a hike in Squaw Valley. For those who don't know, Squaw Valley is where the 1960 Winter Olympics were held. The palce is amazing. Our hike was a 2.5 mile hike that took nearly two hours. Now to put it into perspective, when I lived in Davenport, I used to take Madison for a walk around the park which was one mile and it took us 20 minutes to get around once. So we could do three miles in about an hour. The incline of the hike in Squaw valley slowed our pace basically in half. The hike followed a small creek that was full of small waterfalls and pools. At one spot, the pool was about two foot deep, and we could see 8 and 10 inch trout swimming around. The water is crystal clear and it was like a natural aqaurium. Beautiful!
Sunday, we hit the links at Montreaux. No we did'nt play, we watched. It was the Reno-Tahoe open. The Open caters to the littler guys on the tour, but it is still excellent golf. A young golfer named Will McKenzie won on the final hole, and on 17, he came within two feet of hitting me with his ball on his approach! It would have been a great ESPN highlight. I saw my 15 minutes of fame flash right before my eyes, and it had Titlest written all over it. Maybe next year.
I just want to mention one more thing. The Cincinnati Reds. As most of you know, I am a huge baseball fan, and an Even bigger Reds fan. They are entering the final month of the season clinging to to wildcard lead. I need EVERYONE to root for the Reds. Pray, do voodo, tarot, whatever it is you need to do. Do it for me and the Reds. And if they do happen to win, I need someone to volunteer to drive with me to San Diego, or LA, or Oakland for a playoff game or two. GO REDS and enjoy the pics.

Hi everyone,

I have been a bit busy, so I haven't been able to blog in a while. Tonight, I wanted to show everyone a few pictures of the great outdoors here in Nevada. A bit different than back home. I took these pictures about a week ago. I have joined an outdoor adventure club called the Sierra Club. The have weekly hikes around the area in the warmer months and snowshoe outing in the winter. The also have biking trips and sking trips. It is a lot of fun. And i get to see all kinds of awesome places around Washoe Valley. These pictures are of a ravine outside of Reno. In the ravine, there is a ditch, called Steamboat Ditch that was build about 100 years ago by chinamen to bring water to Verdi, a town outside of Reno. It was a beautiful hike. Enjoy the pics. There are also some pics of the Truckee River. It flows through the valley and right through downtown.
