Hey Hey,

Wanted to start off with a big shout out to my little brother who just got the head chef job at The Grill in New Bremen, OH. He is well on his way to becoming the next Racheal Ray. I am already thinking up names for his cooking show on The Food Network. "Barbeque with the Boofant". Or maybe "Rammel's Recipes." Or how about "30 Minute Meals". Wait that has already been taken. Lets try "Boozin' and Barbequin' with Booney Boy". Anyway, besy of luck Boone, you will be the talk of the town in a few weeks. As long as you put my brushetta recipe on the menu.
Anyway, last weekend Phil and Donna took us up to Tahoe for the Celebrity Golf Tournament and we had a rockin' good time. We followed C. Barkely and Weber for a while for some laughs and we also saw the likes of Jerry Rice, John Elway, Brett Saberhagen, and Mike Schmidtt. The star of the show was The Donald himself. Although everyone was disappointed because he was wearing a hat. I didn't get any pictures because they said no cameras. Turns out everyone in their brother brought theirs in, so next year I will have photos and hopefully get some autographs.
Afterwards we took a drive in Tahoe and then went and ate at a great restaurant. DELICIOUS!! And a litle Mud Pie for dessert. MMMMM!!
Again, no pictures. so let me see if I can find some random pics to put on here. It was a great weekend though. Next year I promise pictures.
I could find any pictures. I need to go hiking. Speaking of, Congrats to my niece Rami for her first encounter with a telemarketer, and congrats to my God daughter Lily for starting to walk.
I sure wish both of their parents would send some pictures in the mail so I can put them on the fridge. Oh, this week I encountered my first 104 degree temp in a while.

Hotter than a California wildfire,
Tom

Hey ,
Hope everyone had a very happy and patriotic fourth of July. Ours was outstanding. We took a few days off from the practice and headed up to Bucks Lake in California with Katie and Eric. We had and stupendous time. We got up to the cabin Friday afternoon and went straight to the beach. It was there that the 1st annual Bucks Lake Horseshoe tournament was born between the Richards sisters and their very cool other halves. (That would be Eric and myself, in case the adjective "cool" threw any of you off). Anyway, the tournament, which included only two teams was a heated one. It paired Kaite B and Tom R vs Eric and Amanda. Best out of three.
The first match was a breeze, Katie B and Tom R took them down no problem. The second game was on Saturday and after much deliberation, Katie and I decided to let the the bad team win one. We felt that if we wanted to continue this tournament for years to come, we had to let them believe they had a chance. Suckers. Sunday, the bad team thought they would take us down, but how wrong they were. Our secret weapon, Katie B, AKA "the natural" (she claims she never practices.) crushed them with a few klanks of the iron, and it was over before the fireworks started. So it was, 2-1 The R&B connection took the gold shoe home. Better luck next year.
Since the big loss for the bad team, Katie says that every night at about two in the morning she hears iron clanking in the back yard. And every night she gets up and peaks out back and there is Eric practicing into the night, tryng to get an edge on the R&B Connection at the 2nd annual Bucks Lake Horseshoe tournament.
Basking in the sweet glory of victory,

Tom R
